Howe Wins Pole Vault; Girls Tie For 8th, Boys 10th In State Track

The Sulphur boys and girls track teams both capped off stellar seasons at the Class 4A State Track Meet over the weekend at Moore High School, continuing to improve off the success both programs have built in recent memory.

The boys team finished 10th overall with 20 points. The girls team came in 8th overall with 22 points, both great showings and top 10 finishes in a tough Class 4A.

“I was really proud of our kids,” said Sulphur boys head coach Chad Gilbert. “They really did a great job and it was really fun to watch it all unfold.”

“Our girls did great,” said Sulphur girls head coach Terry Neal. “I was very pleased with them all year long and a lot of them performed their best at state.

You can’t ask for much more as a coach.”
