A host of Sulphur boys and girls track athletes were selected to the Oklahoma Track Coaches Association All-State team last week, honoring 11 individuals among the state’s best after their season’s were cut short.

Kenzie Ruth, Makella Mobly, Jaidyn Vallandingham, Kyrtleigh Snow, Payton James and Faith Howe were named to the Class 3A girls team.

TJ Todd, Tavius McDonald, Logan Smith, Kyle Stevenson and John Farrell were selected to the Class 3A boys team.

Sulphur girls head coach Terry Neal, president of the OTCA, organized the inaugural all-state team selected by the board and is proud of how it turned out.

“Some of the other sports were recognizing their kids, like basketball and softball, and we wanted to do the same,” Neal said. “It was the first time we selected an all-state team and I think it turned out well.”
