Three Lady Bulldog Fast-Pitch Players Named To All-State Team
Three Sulphur softball players were named to the Middle West All-State team by the OSSAA this week.
Seniors Makella Mobly, Macenzie Ruth and Kady Lynch were all selected to the team, after leading Sulphur to another state tournament appearance and finishing the 2019 fall season 27-7.
“They are three girls that have put in the extra work for years,” said Sulphur head coach Heath Gilbert. “When most kids are going on vacations or going to the lake, they are spending their time and weekends playing ball and getting in extra hitting.”
Mobly and Lynch will head to Seminole State next fall to play at the next level.
The shortstop Mobly had a great senior season, hitting .557 with 59 hits and scoring 48 runs. She stole 27 bases, had three triples and drove in 13 runs.
For her career, she hit .515 and stole 95 bases. She also had 251 hits and scored 196 runs from her leadoff spot. She had 39 walks to just 20 strikeouts in four years.
