TIPPING OFF A NEW DECADE

The Sulphur basketball teams tipped off a new decade of competition on the hardwood last Friday on one of the most the magnificent stages in the state, the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The teams played old foe Byng as part of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Hardwood Series.The girls remained unbeaten on the season with a 15-point win and solidified their ranking as 13th in the state while the 20th ranked boys suffered their first loss of the season. Above, Lady Bulldog forward Abby Beck leaps high on the game’s opening tipoff to launch the new decade.
