Sulphur hung with highly-ranked Washington for most of the 1st half last Friday, but the explosiveness of the Warriors offense proved to be too much for the Dogs in a 34-13 loss.

The Sulphur Bulldogs charge out of the gate to launch the 2021 season, taking on one of the best teams in Class 4A Tuttle in their home opener last Friday. Although losing to the Tigers, 28-0, their season is still in front of them with road games at Washington this Friday, followed by arch rival Davis on September 10. The team will open the district slate on September 24 at Little Axe.

It was a tough week for Sulphur softball, as the Lady Dogs dropped two games and will be without a key player for the remainder of the season.

Sulphur has another tough task ahead this Friday, when they travel to Washington to take on a talented Warriors team that is highly ranked in Class 2A.
