Fundraising efforts for a Sulphur cancer victim surpassed all records for events at Sulphur Elks Golf and Country Club last Saturday when about $43,000 was taken in, according to event coordinators.
Sulphur baseball and head coach Mike Matlack are hoping to build off a solid 2020 season, in which the Dogs won 14 games and were competitive for the entire season with mostly younger players.
The Sulphur boys basketball team got its first action of the summer last week under first year head coach Grant Bates, as the Dogs traveled to Seminole team camp.
The Beyond Brotherhood organization will be hosting the Murray County Fallen Ultra 5K Run beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 31 at the Murray County Veterans Park, at West 11th and Broadway, in Sulphur.
