TJ Todd Band Wins Stillwater Competition
The locally flavored TJ Todd band accepts the grand prize after winning the Battle of the Bands competition at Stillwater’s Tumbleweed last Friday.

The locally flavored TJ Todd Band captured the grand prize in the Battle of the Bands competition at Stillwater’s Tumbleweed last Friday.

The group won a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at a calf fry event May 1 that opens the Treaty Oak Revival. Also performing at the May 1st event will be Ole 60, Vincent Mason and Hudson Wesbrook.

The local band competed against 18 other groups from Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas in early March. After winning there, they advanced further into the competition in the March 28 semifinals after being judged among the top three bands, then finally captured the big prize last Friday’s grand finale. Winning second in the competition was Ray and the High Rollers and third went to Alltown.

Next up for the group will be a 11:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 12 at The Dirty Rooster which will close out The Boys from Oklahoma Concert events held in Stillwater.

Their performance at the calf fry event May 1 will take place at 5:00 p.m. and tickets are available online.

The band consist of lead vocalist TJ Todd, and guitarist Ko Withrow, both of Sulphur, guitarist Miles Lewis of Wichita Falls, TX, bass guitarist Mateo Fajardo, of Madill, keys player Josh Thomas, and Jacob Williams, on the drumbs, both from Ada.
