Sulphur softball struggled this week, but the Lady Bulldogs will be hosting the district playoffs.
On Thursday and Friday, Sulphur and Roff hosted the Turnpike Classic. The girls lost to Plainview 10-8, lost to #3 Washington 17-3 and lost to 3A #14 Healdton 14-4.
“We’re kind of struggling a little bit right now,” said Coach Heath Gilbert. “We’ve got to really figure out what we’re made of the next few days and go out and give it all we got.”
Sulphur on Monday played a double-header at Byng, losing to Byng 8-2 and losing to #5 North Rock Creek 11-2.
The Bulldogs will head to Wynnewood Monday for their final regular season game.
District competition will be Wednesday, starting at 11 am at Sulphur with Purcell and Plainview playing. Then, the Bulldogs will play the winner of that game.
“We only have a few more days possibly, unless we really turn around next Wednesday, which I know we can,” Gilbert
