After two tough games against Oklahoma Christian School, Bulldog baseball shutout the Roff Tigers.
“We ran into a buzzsaw versus OCS,” said Coach Mike Matlack. “We were compounded by some mistakes we made, and they took advantage, but then we had a good bounce back win against Roff on Thursday.”
Monday at OCS, the Bulldogs lost 11-3, and Tuesday at home, Sulphur lost 12-2 to OCS.
Against the Roff Tigers, Bridge Barrett started on the mound, allowing only 2 hits. Drake Wood came in as relief, continuing the shutout with no hits.
Luke Linville led the Sulphur offense with two hits, including a homer to left field that scored two runs.
The junior varsity hosted a festival Friday. “We had a great turnout for our JV fest we hosted Friday. Young kids got better that day,” Matlack said.
