Davenport, Madron, Vinson Capture Individual Wins For Boys

“The Lake Country Conference is a really tough meet and is always a good stepping stone to get us ready for Regionals and State,” Coach Emile Heitland said. “I thought we performed really well and feel good about the trajectory this team is on heading into Regionals.”
Grady Hardoin set a personal record in the 110 hurdles, running a time of 15.29. He placed second in the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles.
“It was a stacked field in the 110’s with the #1 ranked kid in 4A and the #3 ranked kid in 3A,” Heitland said. “It was very exciting to see him PR and earn a silver medal in the 110’s. Grady followed it up running his season best time in the 300 hurdles with a 41.46.”
Briar Davenport won the long jump and placed second in the 100 meter.
Kaleb Madron won the 800 meter, and Eli Vinson won the pole vault.
Acer Dixon placed second in the discus, setting a personal record with a throw of 136-11.
In the shot put, Dixon placed third, and Brody Wallace placed fourth.
Dax Lowrance placed third in the high jump.
The 4x100 relay team placed third, with Ethan Sales, Davenport, Hardoin and JoJo Gray.
The 4x800 relay team of Madron, Calvin Downey, Korbin Mayo and Jaxon Freehill also placed third.
Sales also placed fourth in the 400 meter.

“Drew has been working really hard with Coach DeArman and has been making huge improvements in practice - it just hasn’t transferred over to the meets until Saturday,” Heitland said. “It was very exciting seeing all of Drew’s hard work starting to pay off.”
The 4x200 relay team placed fifth with Sales, Hardoin, JoJo Gray and Dugan Gray.
Rush Pittman placed fifth in the 300 hurdles.
The junior high team wrapped up their season at the Lake Country Meet, placing third behind Plainview and Madill.
“The LCC is really tough, and we always treat it like their state championship,” Heitland said. “I was very proud of the junior high boys placing 3rd overall. This is a very talented group of young men and I’m excited to see what they can accomplish in their high school careers.
The 4x400 relay team of Mavric Lowrance, Ayler Dixon, Harrison Taylor and Nate Woods won.
Lowrance placed second in both the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles.
Braxton Euchler placed third in the 400 meter, and Jake Mann placed third 3200 meter.
Woods placed third in both the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. Angel Rios placed third in the long jump.
In the 4x800 relay, Andrew Hail, Dixon, Taylor and Jake Mann placed third.
Dixon placed fourth in both the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. Keaton Seitz placed fourth in the 1600 meter.
The 4x200 relay team placed fourth with Blaze Burch, Rios, Euchler and Manuel Gonzalez.
Michael Wright placed fourth in the pole vault and fifth in the high jump.
In the 4x100 relay, Burch, Euchler, Woods and Lowrance placed fifth.
