Sulphur’s Top Athletes Honored At Assembly — These five Sulphur athletes were feted at last week’s All-Sports Assembly for winning state championships in various sports. Five Who Made All-State Among The Many Honored Last Week

A total of 37 Sulphur senior athletes received Bulldog Lettering Awards (formerly Letter S Awards) during last week’s annual All-Sports Assembly, held at the Crossway Church. The group, above, proudly displays their plaques.

Paisley Eason, left, and Maddux Boyd were honored with the Jeff Nye Male and Female Fighting Heart Awards, in honor of the award’s namesake, the late Coach Jeff Nye.

Among the honorees at last week’s Sulphur High School All-Sports Assembly were these three seniors, from left, Landry Couch, Caden Cole and Nash Williamson.They were awarded the male and female Academic Athletes of the Year.

These 13 Sulphur grads will be competing in their respective sports at colleges and universities after recently signing letters of intent. The 13 are, from left, Noah Carr, Luke Linville, Baer Webb, Justus Gilliam, Keeley Little, Maddux Boyd, Kaleb Madron, Austin Garrett, Elijah Vinson, Caden Cole, Paisley Eason, Jacey Pitmon and Gideon Petersen.
