Intermediate School’s 2025 Sequoyah Book Club Members Feted

Teachers honored eight third graders, twenty-one fourth graders and 10 fifth graders who made Sulphur Intermediate School’s 2025 Sequoyah Book Club.These students read and passed the AR tests for at least three books on this year’s Children’s Sequoyah List. The 39 students voted for their favorite Sequoyah book at a Pizza Voting Party where names were drawn for door prizes. S.I.S. voters chose FireFly Summer by Morgan Matson as their favorite book. There were 11 students who read 7 or more books and enjoyed a “build your own ice cream sundae” party. This year the school had five students who did the ultimate accomplishment by reading ALL15 Sequoyah books. These students received the grand prize for reading 12 or more of the selected books as well as an additional Amazon gift certificate for their efforts of reading ALL 15 Sequoayh books.

“We are super proud of all these Super Sequoyah readers,” a teacher said. The five are, from left, Erika Soto, Shilo Anderson, McKinlee Elliott, Ella Frahm, and Camp Goodman.
