Ratchford Makes All-State In Softball

Sulphur softball star Gracie Ratchford was recently named as All-State in slowpitch after a stellar four-year career with the Lady Bulldogs.

Rachford played second base and held a .451 batting average. She also smashed 15 doubles and two triples throughout season and had 25 RBI’s.

Sulphur head softball coach, Heath Gilbert, had high praise for his star.

“Gracie had a great career at Sulphur, a starter for four years. “She was one of the best leaders we have ever had.”

Ratchford was to have played in the All-State game in early May, but had to withdraw due to a conflict in her schedule.

She will now head off to the University of Central Oklahoma to further her education.
