The Board of County Commissioners met in a very light agenda on Monday for the weekly meeting.
In public presentations, Court Clerk Jodi Jennings told members that Associate District Judge Mark Melton was resigning his post effective September 30, 2025.
Melton was appointed to the post by Gov. Kevin Stitt in February, 2024.
Jennings said the hunt for a replacement has already begun.
In other action, members approved the design plan for updating the restrooms in the courthouse restoration project.
Final payment application #4 to CD Brown Construction in the amount of $58,566.87 for the Rural Water District #1 CDBG Grant was also approved.
All three members were present at the meeting.
