The Lady Bulldogs used a big fifth inning to roll past Atoka, 8-2, last Friday in softball action. The team scored five runs in that inning as Savannah Patrick hit a solo homer to left field. The girls picked up four more runs in that inning on an error and a single from Destrie Muck.
Sulphur’s Zoli May started off the scoring in the top of the first inning with a double, scoring one run followed by Muck’s left field home run, which scored two runs.
Leading Sulphur off from the mound was Kensley Rochelle. The lefty allowed just three hits and two runs over innings. She struck out for and walked two in the win.
The Lady Bulldogs enjoyed a big day at the plate with 10 hits. Muck drove the middle of the lineup with three runs batted in. Sulphur’s number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
May also provided some firepower at the plate with three hits in four at bats while Paige Collins and Jordyn Johnston each collected multiple hits for the Lady Bulldogs.
