Annual SHS Ceremonies Set Oct. 10
Sulphur High School’s annual football homecoming activities will be held Friday, Oct. 10 starting with a pep assembly at Agee Field, and ending with the coronation of the king and queen, just prior to the Sulphur-Lone Grove game.
This year’s queen will be selected from three senior candidates, Emmalee Arms, Lola Freeman and Madelyn McClure.
Selected as the princesses for this year’s event are Adley Vinson, junior, Jordyn Johnston, sophomore, and Adison Johnson, freshman.
The senior escorts for this year are Bridge Barrett, Kale Brakefield, Colten Cole, Cooper Cole, Brody Wallace, and Maddax Mobly.
Activities will get underway with a noon pep rally at Agee Field, and ending with the coronation ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Following is a brief synopsis of this year’s senior candidates, princesses, and senior escorts:
Senior Candidate and Escort
The first senior candidate is Emmalee Arms, daughter of Daniel and DeJay Arms. She attends Sulphur First Free Will Baptist Church. Her activities, accomplishments and awards include: FCAand BPA. Emmalee is a member of National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society. She is also on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and the Chickasaw Honor Roll.
Her escort is Colten Cole, son of Kerri and Clete Cole.
Colten is a member of Crossway Church. His activities, awards and accomplishments are: varsity football, varsity basketball, and varsity baseball and FCA.
Colten is on the Superintendent’s honor roll.
Senior Candidate and Escort The next senior candidate is Lola Freeman, daughter of Tyger and Andy Freeman.
Lola is member of Crossway Baptist Church.
Her activities, awards and accomplishments are: varsity cheer, Key Club, BPA and FCA. Lola is a member of National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society. She is also on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and National Technical Honor Roll.
Her escort is Cooper Cole, son of Kerri and Clete Cole.
Cooper is a member of Crossway Church. His activities, awards and accomplishments are: varsity football, varsity powerlifting and varsity track. He was a member of the state champion powerlifting teams in 2023, 2024 and 2025. He was also a member of the state runner-up football team in 2024.
Cooper is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and a member of the Sulphur media team.
Senior Candidate and Escort
The next senior candidate is Madelyn McClure, daughter of Misty and Elvey Campbell and the late Jay McClure.
Madelyn attends Midway Hill Baptist Church. Her activities, awards and accomplishments are: varsity powerlifting and FCA.
She is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and serves as a trainer for Sulphur Bulldog football.
Her escort is Broady Wallace, son of Jonie McGee and Benny and Stevie Wallace.
Brody attends Crossway Church. His activities,awards and accomplishments are: varsity football, varsity wrestling and FCA. He is a member of the 2024 3A state runner-up football team, Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society. Brody is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is an honor graduate.
Junior Princess and Escort The Junior Princess is Adley Vinson, daughter of Ginger and Ricky Vinson.
Her activities, accomplishments and awards include: varsity cheer, Key Club Art Club and Oklahoma Outlaws Competitive Cheer team.
Adley is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of National Honor Society.
Her escort is Maddax Mobly, son of Jodie and Chad Mobly.
Maddax is a member of First Freewill Baptist church.
His activities, awards and accomplishments include: varsity football, varsity wrestling, varsity baseball and FCA. Maddax is a member of the 2024 Class 3A state runner-up football team, Oklahoma Honor Society, National Honor Society, Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is an honor graduate.
Sophomore Princess and Escort The sophomore princess is Jordyn Johnston, daughter ofAmber Johnston and J D Johnston.
Jordyn attends Crossway Church. Her activities, accomplishments and awards include: varsity fastpitch and slowpitch softball, varsity golf and FCA. Jordyn is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
Her escort is Kale Brakefi eld, son of Tommy and Libby Brakefield.
Kale attends Restoration Church. His activities, awards and accomplishments include: varsity football, varsity basketball and varsity baseball.
Freshman Princess and Escort The freshman princess is Addison Johnson, daughter of Lauren and Boone Johnson. Her activities, accomplishments and awards include: varsity softball, varsity cheer, and Key Club. She is a member of Crossway Baptist Church and serves on the Crossway Student Ministry leadership team.
Her escort is Bridge Barrett, son of Brock and Gena Barrett. Bridge is a member of Restoration Church in Ada.
His activities, accomplishments and awards include: varsity football, varsity basketball and varsity baseball.
Flower Girl, Crown Bearer Serving as this year’s flower girl and crown bearer are Brooks Baker and Rhett Gilbert.
Brooks is the daughter of Dusty and Marisa Baker. Sheis in kindergartern and enjoys coloring, riding her horse, Cora, swimming, watching movies with her family and playing with her dog, Bullet When she grows up she wants to be a doctor.
Rhett is the son of Heath Gilbert and Jessica Gilbert.
Rhett is in kindergarten and enjoys playing baseball and football, working puzzles, swimming, collecting sports cards and hitting baseballs in the backyard. He also likes watching the Pittsburg Steelers with his dad and brother and playing college football on the Playstation where he enjoys beating Tanner and Rance.
When he grows up he wants to be a police officer.
