Cousins Bridge Barrett and Kale Brakefield were named Players of the Week for their outstanding contributions in the Bulldog’s 24-21 loss to Lincoln Christian in the state championship football game last Saturday in Edmond.
The pair helped the Bulldogs engineer an outstanding, 13-1 season and their second consecutive trip to the title game.
Both are seniors. Barrett, a 6-1, 168-pound receiver and defensive back, had four receptions in the game for 91 yards and a TD. He also was in on numerous big plays defensively.
Brakefield, a 6-1, 210-pound quarterback and linebacker, was 4-5 in passing for 137 yards and had two one-yard rushing touchdowns.
