SHS Bulldogs Begin Basketball Season
The Sulphur High School Bulldog basketball team opened the season last week with games against Byng, Lexington, and Pauls Valley, losing only Byng after players returned from the football championship game. Pictured below are the senior leadership team members and their coach, from left, Colten Cole, Kale Brakefield, Coach Grant Bates, Bridge Barrett and Castin Tully. Above is the team photo of the Bulldogs. With the team now off for Christmas and New Year’s break, the Bulldogs will get back into action on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 at Ada. The Bulldogs will compete in two tournaments this season, first in the Lindsay Leopard meet, January 8-10, then in the Washington Warrior tournament, January 22-24. Their final regular season game will be February 16 vs. Marlow at the OSD gym.
