Sulphur’s Lady Bulldogs are in a rebuilding program this season under new head coach, Les Kirby and assistant, Peyton Row. They launched their season December 11 in a 60-19 loss to Latta.
However, in their last four games, the local girls were very competitive in losses to Marlow, Byng, Lexington, and Pauls Valley.
On December 12, the Lady Bulldogs were in much of the game before falling to Marlow, 47-33, and against perennial power Byng, they took the Lady Pirates to the limit before losing by six, 51-45.
Sulphur rounded out the December season with losses to Lexington on December 18 (38-31) and closed out their pre-holiday slate against Pauls Valley, losing 53-36.
