OG&E Donates Bikes To Ringling, Sulphur Children
Electric Company Partners With Waste Connections To Bring Holiday Cheer To Kids
SULPHUR (Dec. 22, 2025) – To make the holidays brighter for local families, Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company (OG&E), in partnership with Waste Connections Cares Foundation, recently donated 36 bicycles and helmets to children in Ringling and Sulphur. The electric company teamed up with Ringling Chamber of Commerce Angel Tree and INCA Community Services of Murray County to ensure the bikes reached kids who will benefit the most.
OG&E team members volunteered their time at the Sooner Power Plant near Redrock, Okla. assembling each bike before delivering them to kids in communities across Oklahoma with the help of local nonprofits and community organizations.
“Each year, the Build a Bike event turns generosity into action, delivering joy and hope to children across Oklahoma,” said Kelli Hayward Walsh, OG&E Community Outreach Manager. “Together with our nonprofit partners and communities, our annual bike build creates unforgettable moments that spark excitement and joy for our customers around the holidays.”
OG&E also donated bikes to several other communities across its service area. This year, the electric company provided a total of 250 bikes and helmets to Oklahoma children.
This holiday giving was made possible by OG&E together with a generous donation match from the Waste Connections Cares Foundation and support from partners like Dollar Trucking; Environmental Action, Inc (EAI); Evans & Associates; U.S. Lime Company; and C-Line Services.
