Sulphur’s Lady Bulldogs opened the 2026 powerlifting season with a bang, winning first place in the 36-team Little Axe tournament last week. All Sulphur team members set personal bests in the meet.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming into the season full of momentum after having won the state meet last March in a 101-point performance for the title.
At Little Axe last week, four Sulphur lifters won first place medals in a strong performance to open the season. They included: Savannah Patrick, Zoli May, Madelyn McClure, and Addy Hardoin.
Other Sulphur girls winning medals were Natalya Osornio, 2nd; Anahi Uribe, and Olivia Cox, both third.
The Lady Bulldogs scored a total of 205 points for the win. The team is led by head coach Keith Garrett.
