Dogs Lose Opening Match To Bristow In Dual State

Sulphur Wins Five Matches, But Loses Team Battle, 38-21; Team Preps For Regionals This Week

The Dogs won several battles in last Saturday’s opening round of the dual state tournament in Tulsa, but lost to Bristow, a team that made it to the finals match against Tuttle.

Several Dogs won their individual matches against the Purple Pirates, but Sulphur lost the team battle, 38-21.

Winning for Sulphur were Noah Heitland (120), Landy DeArman (138), Ayler Dixon (150), Grady Hardoin (165), and Madax Mobly (175).

After competing in last Saturday’s tournament, the Sulphur wrestling team will now turn their sights on this weekend’s Class 4A east regional tournament at Cushing.
