Two Jailed After Stolen Property Leads To Alleged Meth Dealer

Two Sulphur men were taken into custody last week for their alleged involvement in a stolen property and drug trafficking ring, authorities said.

According to Murray County Sheriff’s Office report, Denny Ray Binderim, 64, and Jason Beaty, 50, were jailed for their alleged involvement in the scheme.

Murray County Undersheriff Ben Flowers said the investigation began when the sheriff’s office responded to a request to assist Sulphur Police in the investigation of the theft of a large quantity of fence panels from Oklahoma School for the Deaf.

Flowers, assisted by deputies Ryan Thomas and Kaleb Patchel, found that about 60 aluminum fence panels with an estimated value of over $20,000, were initially reported to have been taken from OSD property. While looking around the property, deputies found a man, later identified as Beaty, hiding under a cedar tree.

He was taken into custody for questioning due to his presence in the area, said Flowers.

Beaty’s F-150 Ford pickup was later found by Chickasaw National Recreation Area rangers, and deputy Charline Bates, parked in the Travertine Island area of the park. Contents in the pickup tied it to the property theft at OSD, Flowers said. Beaty was arrested and booked into the Murray Jail, his Ford F-150 was seized, and transported to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office awaiting forfeiture as it was allegedly used in the commission of a felony.

“After Beaty’s arrest, we continued the investigation, as we have seen many times in the past most theft has a methamphetamine component tied in,” said Flowers. “Throughout interviews, this case proved no different. On February 20, 2026, investigators of the Murray County Sheriff’s Office were able to gain enough solid information to obtain a search warrant for a property they were all too familiar with.”

Murray County Sheriff Darin Rogers and other lawmen then gathered at 400 Binderim Rd., in southern Murray County, where they held residence owner, Denny Binderim, while searching his property, said Flowers.

Asearch yielded 11 of the stolen fence panels, plus other suspected theft items including Milwaukee tools and battery packs, that had been reported as stolen from the Sulphur OG&E substation in past weeks, according to Flowers.

Flowers said it was outside where the drug component to the investigation turned up.

“Hidden inside a rabbit hutch, nearly one pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine was found, said Flowers. “The large quantity was packaged in a glass jar along with two smaller containers, one containing eight prepackaged 3-gram bags of meth and one containing a 3-gram rock of the crystalline substance.”

Binderim was then booked into Murray County Jail, Flowers said, with anticipated charges of meth trafficking and knowingly concealing stolen property.

Sheriff Rogers said this week the investigation is not over and he anticipates more arrests in the probe. He also thanked his deputies for standing alongside him in this fight to keep Murray County safe.

Binderim’s bond was set Tuesday in Murray County District Court at $100,000.
