Each year the Murray County Junior Livestock Show Board selects and honors an individual for outstanding service to the success of the show. This year’s honor was presented to Clint Grinstead, of Davis.
Grinstead is a graduate of Davis High School and local entrepreneur for the past 28 years. He is most known for being the owner of C&C Contracting in Davis. He is a dad, PawPaw, boss, and friend to all.
As an entrepreneur, Grinstead has built a number of successful businesses along with a growing cattle operation under 4G Cattle, but he is equally known for his heartfelt contributions to Murray County. He understands the importance of instilling values of hard work, dedication, and responsibility in young individuals as he too was once a “stock show kid.”
Grinstead doesn’t support one group or handful of kids; he makes it a point to help every child involved in livestock projects, ensuring no one is left out. His resources help motivate and inspire the youth. He believes that every effort should be celebrated, whether a student is showing a prize-winning swine or nurturing a young goat. His efforts transcend simple charity; they are building a stronger community by investing in its future – our youth. He is a reminder of the profound impact one person can have in encouraging a brighter future for all.
Grinstead has also served in the background by donating equipment and operators when extra help was needed on the Expo grounds which hosts the annual stock show as well as hundreds of other events.
