Sulphur’s Noah Heitland, pictured above controlling his state meet opponent, was a third place winner at the recent OSSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Oklahoma City. Heitland joined teammate Maddax Mobly in accepting the third place ribbon. Wrestling at 113 pounds and Mobly at 175 pounds, the two were among six Bulldogs and three Lady Bulldogs to qualify for the meet.

In last week’s issue, it was incorrectly reported that Jonah Cole won third place at 132 pounds. Although Cole was a state qualifier, he did not place in the tournament.

The other three Bulldogs who wrestled, but did not place at the meet, were Tristan Barnes (126), Gardy Hardoin (165), and Brody Wallace (Hwt.)

The three Lady Bulldogs who wrestled at the meet included state champions Jolee Thomas (125), and Parker Wynn (120), and qualifier, Bintlee Burch (145).
