Sulphur ended the regular golf season at Lake Murray last week, and then competed in the regional tournament at Lakeview Golf Course in Ardmore on Monday.

“From our first regular season tournament at Purcell to our last regular season event at Lake Murray, we have made big improvements as a group,” said head coach Grant Bates.

The Dogs fired a 402 team score at Purcell and 345 to finish the year at Lake Murray. “That 57-stroke improvement shows a committed team that is doing what it takes on a day to day basis to improve. I am happy about our gains especially with us being a young group. We qualified for regionals in 4A and it is this week coming up on Monday.

Leading Sulphur’s scoring at Lake Murray last week included Wyatt Clark and Kaden Cleveland, each with 18-hole scores of 83, followed by Lane Keenan, 84; Brody Scott, 94; Jagger Sealey, 95; Garin Watson, 106; Trevor Hood, 106, Nick McGill, 111, and Landen Woods, 112.
