Amaurie Peters First Sulphurite To Wear Crown
Recent Sulphur High grad, Amaurie Peters, was crowned the 2026 Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) All-State Queen in ceremonies during the annual All-State football game last Thursday at Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond.
She is the first Sulphur graduate to be accorded that honor. Chandler Ogden,ofTonkawa,was the runner-up nominee.
Peters said she plans to attend OU and major in health and exercise science this fall.
Every high school represented by a selected All-State athlete during the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State week is eligible to enter a student candidate into the annual homecoming queen contest. The candidates participate throughout the celebratory week, which spotlights over 450 top graduated senior athletes, cheerleaders, and student athletic trainers from across Oklahoma.
