Early voting begins Thursday, Aug. 20 for voters in Murray County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.
Murray County Election Board Secretary Rhonda Summers, said early voting is open to all voters. “You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Summers said.
Early voting is available Thursday, Aug. 20 and Friday, Aug. 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Aug, 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Murray County Expo Center located at 3490 Highway 7. Summers reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.

Election Day Reminders And Tips Voters head to the polls on August 25th to cast their ballots. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Murray County Election Board offers reminders and tips ahead of the election.
County Election Board Secre- tary Rhonda Summers recommends voters with questions about their eligibility or polling place verify their information prior to Election Day. Voters can find their polling place and verify their voter information using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or by contacting the County Election Board. “We want all of our voters to have a positive experience at the polls. However, Election Day can be very busy. If you have questions ahead of the election, don’t hesitate to call or stop by our office, so that we can make sure you’re ready to vote on Election Day,” said Summers.
Voters are also reminded to bring a current and valid photo ID card to their polling place. Accepted identification includes:
•An ID card issued by the federal government, State of Oklahoma, or a federally-recognized tribe, or
•The free, Voter Identification Card issued to you by the County Election Board when you registered to vote.
If your ID card has an expiration date, the expiration date must fall after the date of the election.
