Leadership Murray County Class XXII recently completed an overnight retreat at Crosspointe Camp in Kingston recently, as part of the class’s ongoing leadership development and community engagement experience.
The retreat provided class members with an opportunity to strengthen relationships, develop leadership skills, build teamwork and learn more about the importance of working together to serve the Murray County community.
For Class XXII member Brandon Naifeh, the community-focused aspect of Leadership Murray County is what makes the program stand out.
“Being involved in other Leadership classes prior to LMC, what I see has set LMC apart from all the others is the community involvement and having each class give back to the community that we serve,” Naifeh said.
Naifeh added that leadership extends beyond the workplace and includes making a lasting difference in the community.
“Being a leader not only means leading your employees and staff but leaving a meaningful impact on the community,” he said. “LMC has really shown me that we serve such an amazing community and have so many strong and heartfelt leaders in our community.”
The retreat is one of many experiences designed to bring Leadership Murray County Class XXII members together while preparing them to become engaged leaders and advocates for the communities they serve.
