Tuesday, Nov. 3rd
Murray County voters going to the polls in the coming days will have a large number of candidates, state judicial retention questions, and state questions to mull over, so it may take a little longer than normal to cast your ballot.
All total, there are eight state offices to be filled, along with two Congressional offices, including a U.S. Senator, and a U.S. Representative, and a host of judges of the Oklahoma Court of Civil and Criminal Appeals and justices of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
Additionally, two state questions will be on the ballot for voters to consider, S.Q. 845, and S.Q. 847.
Voters are reminded that both sides of the ballot will be used in this election cycle, so be sure to check the back side of the ballot when at the polls.
Sample ballots for the November 3 election are published on page 8 of this issue of the Times-Democrat.
Voters are also reminded they have the option of using straight party voting for state and Congressional candidates, but not in the judicial retention questions or the two state questions.
More information on the election including times and places for early voting will be published in next week’s issue.
