First Practice In New Gym
Sulphur head basketball coach Grant Bates, left in the center portion of the photo, leads his team in the first practice session at the school’s new gymnasium recently. The gym, a performing arts center, a career center, and enhancements to the vo-ag building, among others, were part of a $35 million bond issue passed by local voters several years ago. A ribbon-cutting for the new facilities will be held Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m., the school announced this week.
