Gary Lloyd Johnson
Gary Lloyd Johnson was born July 15, 1944, in Bowie, TX, to the late Harold L. and Jerry D. (Jarvis) Johnson Downing. He died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Sulphur, at the age of 80. Gary and the former Ms. Barbara F. Duggins were married on June 5, 1963, in Mangum. To this union were born two sons, Dustin and Brandon. Gary grew up in Mangum. After graduating from Mangum High School, Class of 1962, he continued his education at OSU Tech in Okmulgee, where he earned a degree in Electrical Construction. Following college, Gary worked as an oil field electrician for Conoco Oil in Enid. In 1980, he happily accepted a promotion and moved his family to Davis. He later worked for Haliburton Services in both Davis and Duncan, prior to retiring from the Hanover Corporation. Throughout his career, he also owned and operated Johnson’s Electric. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara; Dustin Johnson of Sulphur, Tammy Johnson of Davis and Brandon Johnson and wife Melody of Midwest City; six grandchildren, Tyler Johnson and wife Brittany, Kylie Griffin and husband Chance, Dylen Merrell and husband Trever, Dane Johnson, Austin Johnson and Caleb Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, Saylor, Cannon, Presti, Teller, Ronin, Rook, Ryker and LaRue; as well as one sister, Karen Kaiser and husband Terry, one brother, Duane Johnson, and one brother-in-law Bob Duggins and wife Charla of the Woodlands, Tx.

Paula Jean Lewis, 89, was born on August 10, 1935, to the late Tol and Hazel (Coln) Dickenson. She was ‘Booper’ to her sisters, ‘Momma’ to her children, and ‘Grandma’ to many more. She passed from this earth on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.

Alice Teresa Cremins was born to Daniel V. Cremins, Sr. and Alice (Downing) Cremins onAugust 3, 1941, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She died on July 3, 2024, in Sulphur. Alice graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1959. She began her 60-year nursing career after graduating in 1962 from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Brighton, Massachusetts. Later, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, serving in several leadership capacities.

Reba K. Huffines was born on November 8, 1934 to Oscar and Elien Bowser Huffines in Sulphura. She passed away on July 29, 2024 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Elien Huffines, and by her loving husband of 60 years, Bob Blackburn. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Moore and her husband, Wayne, of Ardmore, and Kristi Blackburn and her partner, Steph Palmgren of Edmond, and by one son, Rob Blackburn and his wife, Redonna of Sulphur. She is also survived by two grandsons, Cole Hogg of Ardmore, and Blake Hogg and his wife, Melanie, of Ardmore; and by three great-grandchildren, Addison Hogg, Brody Hogg, and Emerson Hogg of Ardmore. Reba is also survived by one sister, Nelda Lewis of Broken Arrow, and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
