To this union, three children were born, Misty, Terry, Jr, and Jody.

Phyllis grew up in the Roff area, graduating from Vanoss High School, Class of 1966.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Hale; daughter, Misty Baker and husband Keith of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Terry Hale, Jr. and wife Angela of Pocasset, and Jody Hale of Roff; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Sue Jones and Judy Cheek; two brothers, Jackie and Jimmy Stephens; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary Baker, and eight siblings, Betty Horton, Maxine Miller, Cathy Hill, Joyce Edwards, and Preston, Cletus, Chuck, and Dee Stephens.

A memorial service will be held in the near future.

Cremation was entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home, of Sulphur.
