Jimmy spent much of his life working as a handyman. For several years, he worked for the University of Oklahoma in their housing maintenance department, primarily painting. As a side job, he enjoyed buying, selling, and trading whatever treasure he ran across.
Jimmy cherished spending quality time with his family. He was a devoted man of God and expressed his faith in the way he lived his life.
Survivors include his daughter, Ann Fogel; son, Mickey Daniels; stepson, Michael Hawkersmith; three grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, and Amanda; nine great-grandchildren, Bella, Jayden, Preston, Jasper, Vently,Axel, Carlee, Braxton and Christopher; one brother, Tony Daniels; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Troy Daniels, Jr.; two wives, Sharon Hawkersmith and Goldie Baxter; two sisters, Lavada Daniels and Wanda Britt; as well as five brothers, Long Star, Frisco, Bill, Jackie and Sherman Daniels.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur, with pastor Willard McCartney, Jr., officiating.
