Lois and James William Blanka were united in marriage on April 5, 1972, in Canton. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1990.

Lois grew up in the Walters area. After graduating from high school, she attended seminary, becoming an ordained minister. In the early 1950’s, she and her family moved to Sulphur, where she was called upon to preach her very first sermon. She later moved to Oklahoma City for a brief time, prior to accepting her first pastorate job in Lubbock, TX in 1958. Throughout her ministry, Lois also pastored churches McClain and Canton.

In 1991, after the death of her husband, Lois moved back to Sulphur where she became very active with the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She served this church in every possible way she could. Lois was recognized as a faithful leader. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with her whole heart, and it was always evident in the way she lived her life.

Lois was an exceptional cook, especially when it came to baking pecan pies. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and canning fresh fruits and vegetables. Lois also enjoyed spending time with her family, her church family, and dear friends.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Pat Daniels of Sulphur, and Lucy Daniels of Wisconsin; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved church family, whom she revered as family.
