Bobby Don “Boob” Arms

Bobby Don “Boob” Arms

Bobby Don Arms, better known far and wide as “Boob,” was born October 31, 1953, in Sulphur, to Glen and Jo Ann (Chadwick) Arms. He died on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, in Ada, at the age of 72.

Boob grew up on the family dairy, between Sulphur and Davis. After graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1971, he attended Murray State College, prior to working for the Santa Fe Railroad for several years. Boob returned home where he worked on the family dairy, hauled hay for the public and ran his own cattle herd. Later, he worked for Murray County Commissioners in both District 1 and 2. Prior to retirement, he spent a few years working in the oil field.

Boob was definitely one of a kind. Although he was one of the toughest men around, he had the heart of a teddy bear. He would do anything for anyone in need. Whether it was using his strength to help a friend or giving his last dollar to someone who needed it, Boob was there.

Boob was very well known throughout the cockfighting circle. He raised prize winning game birds (back when it was legal) and won countless matches. He was regarded as one of the best in the business. In addition to his chickens, Boob loved noodling fish. Not sure which he was most proud of, the size of the fish he caught, or the scars he got from catching them. In his final years, Boob enjoyed trying his luck at area casinos, which he often confessed he had no luck at.

There will never be another like Boob Arms. Survivors include his daughter, Tara Asmus, of Eureka Springs, AR; son, Nick Arms and wife Rachel of Antlers, OK; his mother, Jo Ann Arms, of Davis; six grandchildren, Deidra, Maggie and Samuel Asmus, and Kaylie, Jordan, and Landon Arms; great-grandson, Phoenyx Asmus; one brother, Joe Glen Arms, of Davis; sister-in-law, Pam Arms, of Sulphur; niece, Stephanie Cason and husband, Adam; two nephews, Russel Arms and wife, Amy, and Gunner Arms and wife, Logan; as well as numerous cousins.

Boob was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Edmondson Arms; his father, Glen Arms; and his brother, Rocky Arms.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at Midway Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr., officiating.
