Matildia Ann “Tillie” (Caraway) Hartman

Matildia Ann “Tillie” (Caraway) Hartman, 80, of Guthrie, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025 at home in Guthrie with family by her side.

Tillie was born May 1, 1945 in Sulphur, to Clifton Roy and Alice Iona (Merryman) Caraway. She graduated from Sulphur High School as a proud member of the class of 1963.

On June 2, 1963, she married Roger McKim in Sulphur, and to this union 2 daughters and 1 son were born, Lisa, Amy, and Steve. OnAugust 23, 1997, Tillie married Willie Hartman and gained a son and daughter, Carl and Donna.

After working for many years in the insurance industry in Sulphur, Oklahoma City, and Guthrie, Tillie retired from Dewart Gumerson Insurance Agency in Guthrie in January 2024. She enjoyed sewing, reading, spending time with friends and the VIP group and most of all traveling and camping with Willie and their fur babies.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Roy Caraway and Alice Iona Caraway.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Hartman and her fur baby Lolita, of the home in Guthrie; daughters, Lisa McKim of Moore, and Amy McKim (Rusty Snyder), of Oklahoma City; son, Steve McKim (Nicole) of Sulphur; step-son, Carl Hartman, of Edmond; step-daughter, Donna Grant (Michael), of Honeoye, New York; brother, Jerry Caraway (Lynn), of Sulphur; and Rick Caraway (Molly) of Garland Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jessica Rossman, Taylor McKim-Wilson, Dillin McKim, Aubrey Cole, Stormie Fowler, Gabriella Gamber, Christian Hartman, Jordan Hartman, Aaron Grant, Amanda Baker, Daniel Grant, Thomas “CT” Calhoun, Chelsea Young; 4 great-grandchildren; and 14 step great-grandchildren; 2 aunts, Alene Tolbert of Sulphur and Lola McKim (Ronnie) of Kingston; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins and friends.

Memorial services for Tillie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at Sulphur First Free Will Baptist Church located at 1222 West Oklahoma Avenue in Sulphur.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st Street, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
