Bill Tom Lowrance

He was born on a small ranch in the Buckhorn Community just outside Sulphur, on December 6, 1936, to Oscar Emmitt and Myrtle Marie. He was married toAmelita Corinne on December 8, 1967, in Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii.
After he graduated high school in Sulphur, he went straight in the US Navy and served for 30 years, retiring from the US NAVY with a rank of E9 (AFCM). Moved to Kerrville and then went to work at the local VA Hospital and worked as a pharmacy tech for 14 years, and then retired at last.
He bought an RV and, with his wife, lived his dream to see new places and traveled around the US for the next 20 years.
In the course of his life he learned and enjoyed doing leather crafting, metal working, woodworking, carpentry and lapidary. He never let a day go by without at least reading something, he loved reading westerns, intrigues and sci-fi.
Bill was preceded by his parents; sister, Dorothy; and daughter, Angela.
He is survived by his wife, Amelita Corinne; three sons, Anthony, Richard Alan and Michel Shawn; one daughter, Deahna Lynn; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 4pm at the Hill Country Veterans Center, 411 Meadow View Ln., Kerrville, TX. There will be a military service with a small gathering afterword. He will be later buried at sea.
The family asks that any memorials be given as donation to the Wounded Warrior organization or to the Hill Country Veterans Center to help others, in Bill’s name.
The family would like to thank the Peterson Hospice group for the great care they provided in Bill’s final days and others who provided help and support to the whole family.
