John William Kirkpatrick
John William Kirkpatrick

John, better known by many as “John Bill” or “JB” grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School, Class of 1970. After high school, he spent several years working in land surveying prior to working in the drywall business.
His career in drywall began with Bob Doty. In 2000, John began his own company, Kirkpatrick Drywall, and operated in until 2017, when his health began to fail. He was known far and wide for his expertise in the drywall business.
As a diehard OU fan, John rarely ever missed watching an OU football game. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, taking on do it yourself projects around the house and spending time with his family, which always included a wonderful meal prepared by Carla. John loved Christmas. Each year, he spent countless hours decorating his house and yard with Christmas lights for all to enjoy. His decorating led him to win several awards.
