Schameca Shauntez Carr

Schameca Shauntez Carr was born on April 26, 1973, in Tulsa, to Nahunita Carr James and the late Jimmy Jearald James. She fell asleep in Jesus on January 28, 2026, in Sulphur, at the age of 52.
Schameca grew up in Davis. She attended Davis High School where she met the love of her life Aundre McDonald and had two boys: DeAundre and Daunte’Carr. After graduating from Davis High School, she attended Murray State College for a semester. Shortly after starting, she learned that she had Multiple Sclerosis.
Schameca was baptized into the Seventh-DayAdventist church onApril 23, 2000. She attended Pauls ValleyAdventist Church for a brief time until failing health prevented her from going. She was picked up by members of the Davis Seventh-Day Adventist church and attended there until circumstance prevented her from attending.
Survivors include her sons; oldest son DeAundre Carr, of Davis, and his four children, Lyndee, Carrter, Minko, Meka, and Destin Carr; youngest son, Daunte’ Carr and his four children, Jayveen Faith, Damien, Dayten, and Dexter Carr; her mother, Nahunita Carr James; brothers, Jaticka J. James , Christian L. James, and the late Lataral Rhoades; sisters, Nakeisha D. Johnson, Taneisha L. Cosby, Dawnanita L. James; grandmother, aunts, uncles, and a plethora of cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Gilfield Baptist Church at 11:00 am, on February 6, 2026. Officiating pastor will be Ricky G. McGee.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jaticka J. James, Christian L. James, Thomas McDonald, Aundre McDonald, DeAundre Carr and David Powell.
Serving as flower bearers will be Shaquita Carr, Alaithia T. James, Jayveen Faith Carr, and Meka Carr.
