Wilma Jean (Atchley) Brantley

Wilma Jean Brantley was born July 4, 1950, in Wynnewood, to the late Bennie A. and Dorothy (Harper) Atchley. She entered Heaven’s gates on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, in Sulphur, at the age of 75. She and Howard Dale “Crawdad” Brantley were united in marriage on March 1, 1967, in Sulphur. Three sons, Kenneth, Karl and Korey, were born to this union.

Wilma was a life-long resident of Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Howard “Crawdad”; three sons, Kenneth Brantley and wife Deedra of Pauls Valley, Karl Brantley of Davis, and Korey Brantley and wife Misty of Sulphur; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Conry and Sharon Ingram; two brothers, Virgil Atchley and John Atchley and wife Debbie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Willie and James Atchley; and two sisters, Ozie Bryant and Helen Richards.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at First Free Will Baptist Church, in Sulphur, with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
