Charles Ray Beaver, better known as “Chuck,” was born November 7, 1972, inArdmore, to the late Claude E. Beaver, Sr., and Margaret Ann (Brooks) Beaver. He died on Tuesday, Feb. 10, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 53.

In earlier years of his life, Chuck and his family made their home in Texas, prior to moving to Dougherty in 1985. He attended Davis Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1991. After high school, he continued his education at Murray State College.

Chuck was a highly intelligent individual. He enjoyed the advanced classes of high school and excelled scholastically. After college, Chuck worked at area convenient stores and restaurants.

For several years, he owned and operated the Strawberry Flats Café in Dougherty. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, riding four-wheelers and caring for his beloved dogs.

Survivors include three brothers, James David Beaver, Anthony Keith Beaver and Claude Beaver, Jr; stepson, Kyle Koch; as well as several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Drake Cemetery, south of Sulphur. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.

Services are “entrusted to” Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis.
