Maud Deen Knighten
Maud Deen Knighten
Maud Deen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker whose love for her family and community was evident in everything that she did. She had worked at Grace Living Center in Wynnewood, where she cared for others through her meals. Even after retiring, Maud continued cooking from her home, warmly welcoming friends, neighbors, and family-near and far-who would often stop by for lunch or dinner. She never turned anyone away; if you came to her door, you left with a full stomach and a reminder that you were loved.
Maud was one of the most caring and kind-hearted people you could ever meet. She was a faithful follower of the Lord and lived her life guided by compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren deeply and equally-she never had a favorite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two sons, Rodney and Winfred Knighten.
She is survived by her children, Charles Knighten and wife Tina; Johnny Knighten and wife Sheila, all of Wynnewood; Jamie Knighten and wife Eva of Sulphur; Randy Knighten and wife Becky of Wynnewood; and Lisa Keena of Wynnewood.
Maud also had 11 brothers and sisters. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in all who knew her.
Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Assembly of God Church in Wynnewood, with Bro. Quick officiating.
