Robert Lee Albright
Robert Lee Albright

Robert was born on March 26, 1945, in Pauls Valley, to Doris Lauretta (Morton) Albright and Leo Loyd “Junior” Albright. He was raised in Maysville alongside his brothers and sisters and graduated from Maysville High School in 1963.
In 1963, Robert married Betty Jean Willingham, and together they welcomed three sons, Richey, Boone, and Steve. Throughout his life, Robert worked as a truck driver and as an oil field consultant. On October 24, 1994, he married Loaney Tennessee Kinard, and together they built a life and home in Wynnewood.
Robert never met a stranger and never passed up an opportunity to visit. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends, whether in person or on the phone. Horses were one of his greatest passions. He enjoyed training and racing them and always seemed to have a few around to care for. He took pride in working in his yard and mowing the lawn, enjoyed watching westerns, and followed just about every sport he could. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as they played sports. Robert along with Loaney enjoyed eating lunch and visiting with friends at the senior citizens center and most recently attending First Baptist Church.
Those who knew Robert knew that one of his favorite ways to show affection was by giving people a hard time. His teasing nature and ornery spirit were simply his way of showing he cared. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and offer advice, whether you asked for it or not. He held high expectations for those around him, and many people learned valuable lessons from him because of those expectations.
He is survived by his wife, Loaney Albright; brother, Terry Albright and wife Eulonda of Maysville; his sons, Richey Albright and wife Kathleen of Choctaw, and Boone Albright and wife Kim of Lindsay; his daughter-in-law, D’Lana Albright of Maysville; and his stepchildren, Richard Shearer and wife Ramona of Wynnewood, Trish Shearer and husband Rick of Miami, Florida, and Rodney Snelgrooes and wife Tina of Tuttle.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Young, Austin Albright, Savannah Hans, McKinnley Albright, Nicholas Albright, Jacie Albright, Brieanna Shain, Susan Coble, Shannon Russell, Bryce Shearer, Bret Beaufeaux, Josh Dial, Courtney Tindell, Zakary Snelgrooes, and Lea Snelgrooes, along with16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Albright and Leo Loyd “Junior” Albright; his son, Steve Albright; his sisters, Linda Darlene Albright and Sandra “Joy” Franklin; and his brothers, Paul Don Albright, Mickey Albright, and Ricky Dale Albright.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will forever cherish the memories, stories, laughter, and love he shared throughout his life.
