James Andrew Talbert
James was born August 19, 1964, in Edmond to Johnny and Norma (Kettner) Talbert and entered eternal rest on June 15, 2026 in Sulphur. He moved to Sulphur in his high school years and attended Sulphur schools. On July 16, 1985, he married Sharon Beaver in Sulphur, and together they raised three children, Will, Christina, and Amy.
Blessed with a mechanical mind and a tireless work ethic, James excelled in every role he took on. He served for many years as a service manager at Braden Ford, later working as a mechanic for Billingsley, and found his niche in aircraft interiors as a supervisor with King Aerospace. He retired in 2016 from Strom Aviation, Inc., in Fort Worth, Texas. After retirement, he could often be found tinkering, especially with RC cars, always eager to take something apart and make it better. He loved cars and motorcycles, was an avid fisherman, and proudly cheered on his OSU Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Above all, his favorite role was being a devoted father and grandfather, faithfully showing up to support his family in all their endeavors.
James is survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Talbert of Sulphur; his children, Amy Stinson and fiancé Casey Stover of Sulphur, Christina Voss and husband Brian of Lavon, Texas, Will Campbell and wife Jamie of Ada; grandchildren, Mykell Woods of Lexington, Ryder Woods and Kyser Stinson of Sulphur, Katherine Campbell of Sulphur; and Lucas Campbell of Ada; brother, Johnny Talbert of Sulphur; niece, Jennifer Townsend and fiancé Jacob Cotter of Weatherford; nephews, Aaron Hinsley of Weatherford and John Talbert of Sulphur; great-niece and great-nephew, Emmalin and Gabriel Townsend of Weatherford, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Norma (Kettner) Talbert;stepfather, Hank Hankins; brother, Michael Talbert; and sister, Paula Talbert; grandparents, Clyde and Pauline Talbert James will be remembered for his steady hands, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to the people he loved. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
