Miranda Louise Venegas

Miranda Louise Venegas

Miranda Louise (Simco) Venegas, 54, a longtime resident of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on June 30,2026. Miranda was born on August 23, 1971 in Sulphur, to Leota Simco. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever be treasured by her children, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the strength she showed throughout her life.

Miranda spent many years working in hospitals, where she cared for others with compassion and dedication. Her kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help those around her reflected the person she was both at work and in her everyday life.

She found joy in listening to music, spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories with the people she loved most. She treasured those close to her and shared many moments of laughter, conversation, and love throughout her life.

Like many people, Miranda face personal struggles throughout her life. While those challenges brought difficult times, they never erased the kindness she showed, the love she had for her family, or the many good things she accomplished. She was a woman of strength and resilience who will be remembered for the whole of her life, not only the hardships she endured.

Miranda was preceded in death by her mother, Leota Simco and her sister Meredith Squanders.

Miranda is survived by her loving children, Dakota Simco Horvath and Zoey Venegas; her cherished grandson, Maddox Simco; her father; her siblings, Michelle Neely, Justin Neely, and Jason Neely; as well as many extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will continue to cherish her memory.

Though she is no longer with us, Miranda’s love, strength, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Services and visitation were held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from at DeArman Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur.
