Tashka would wake his mother at 4:00 a.m. every morning to play dinosaurs. Dinosaurs was the only word I knew for paleontological creatures. I had to learn the names of dinosaurs and weather they were meat eaters or plant eaters to play with my son Tashka. Initially, he wanted to be a paleontologist.

Knights Templar were his comfort zone. He believed in the old Knights code to protect the weak and helpless ; and to be ever faithful to the Lord; to Glorify our Lord of Light. Tashka had many dreams of being the leader of the White Knights being attacked by the Dark Knights. When all looked hopeless his best friend came down in a pillar of light and the dark Knights fled and jumped to their deaths because his light was so bright.

Tashka in Choctaw/Chickasaw means Warrior. Tash has been a warrior his whole life. Even the elect can be deceived and this occurred to him. His battles of addictions and mental challenges are now over. Even in his most defeated moments imprisoned and chained to the addictions he spoke of his best friend, Jesus Christ in places most Christians cannot dare walk. He carried his love for Christ with him.

Tashka was very artistic and enjoyed painting cow skulls. He liked the Lord of the Rings and would paint the armies and play battles with other students who enjoyed creating battle zones. Mom loved the high elves and was given a set to paint with him. She opened her handsome elves on horsed and had their tops chopped off from the waist and one top glued on. His had her high elf tops and Mom was aghast.

When Tashka was about 7, he loved Poke Mon and would play in tournaments and beat college academics. When he chose to collect an item he was superb at display and opening the toys he and his Dad collected cars and enough Dale Earnhardt to make an E on the wall. He was in Scouts and mastered all the skills and played various sports. He was great at golf but it was boring to him. He rode his bike in races in season and skateboard. He enjoyed football and was angry at TV for making football look easy when actually was hard. When he was scared, he would play classical music. He was a social butterfly that wanted to take care of everyone.

His battles of this world are over. When he was going to lose the final battle his best friend came and took him home. He is where he has been healed. It was my honor and grief but blessing to have been Tashka’s Mom. I Thank Heavenly Father for sharing him with me and we will see you again son humbly at Jesus feet.

Tashka’s is survived by his Mother, Georgia Ann Henry Maret of Sulphur; cousins, Krislyn Hunter Weikel, Garret Ellis Weikel, Courtney Lynn Watson Mayfield, Caitlin LeRoy, Bobby Phillips, and Jayce Henry; aunts, Gwendolyn Watson, Jacque Turner, Jennifer Henry, Jessica Henry; and many other cousins, friends, and family.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur, OK.
