Zach grew up in Hugo, and graduated high school from Soper, where he received a state title in baseball in 2009. Throughout his life, Zach was deeply loved by his family and friends, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Zach was a loving and devoted grandson, son, brother, uncle, and friend who brought joy to everyone around him. He especially cherished spending time with his nieces, grammy, his brother Zane, and special friend Dustin.

He had recently became very passionate about his fitness and enjoyed his walks or hikes with his brother or friends on the trails. Zach loved to cook and if ya’ll know Zach he was the most clean person of them all.

Zach was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Lancaster and grandmother, Cassie Gentry.

Zach is survived by his father, Brian Gentry of Hugo; mother and step-father, Amy and Jamie Oakes of Sulphur; brother, Zane Gentry of Sulphur; sister, Ashleigh Harkins of Valliant; nieces, Brylie Gentry, Liberty Lancaster, Lakelyn Lancaster; along with grandmother, Barbara Lancaster of Denton, TX; grandfather, Leonard Gentry of Hugo; aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and countless friends that will cherish his memory forever.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at DeArman Funeral Chapel, 1129 West First Street in Sulphur.
