Mary Helen Reynolds
Mary Helen Reynolds

Mary was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. After graduating from Sulphur High School, she worked as a switchboard operator for the Crawford Telephone Company. On September 1, 1967, Mary and Fredrick Louis “Fred” Reynolds, Jr. were united in marriage. This union was blessed with two children, Jill and Frederick “Trey” Reynolds, III.
For many years, Mary was a stay-at-home mother, devoting herself to raising her two children. After her children were raised, she spent several years working at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Sulphur. Mary later found her calling in life when she became employed with the Davis Public School System where she spent 25 years working as a library assistant. Mary found immense joy helping the children find the love for reading. The love she had for the children and staff of Davis Elementary was truly unwavering.
Mary had a profound sense of humor and kept those around her laughing. She was a very generous individual. She loved giving gifts to others, and often that gift was nothing more than her time. She would do anything for anybody. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and of course reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Jill (Reynolds) Swenson and husband Eric, of Sulphur; her son, Trey Reynolds and wife Stephanie, of Sherman, TX; four grandchildren, Fredrick “Derick” Reynolds, IV, Morgan Prince and husband Cody, Jacob Reynolds and wife Peyton, and Ryan Reynolds and fiancé Colby; two great-grandchildren, Callan and Asher; her expected great-granddaughter, Kamdyn; niece Cathleen Branscum; as well as her former son-in-law, John Hull and daughter-in-law, Gloria Cloud. .
