Ricky was born on December 18, 1950, in Sulphur, to the late Troy B. “Sam” and Dorothy Jo (Thomas) Roady. He passed away, following a lengthy battle with cancer, on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in Sulphur, at the age of 75. Ricky and the former Miss Anita Louise Fogle united in marriage on February 8, 1974, in Gainesville, TX. She preceded him in death on September 16, 2016.

Ricky was a life-long resident of Davis.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky McCurtain and husband Darryl; his son, Justin Roady and wife Bree; three grandchildren, Makenzie Taylor and husband Doug, Kaden McCurtain and Landen McCurtain; one brother, Rodney Roady and wife Michelle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ricky was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Roady; and two sisters, Sandra (Roady) Day and Latoye (Roady) Eldred.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kaden McCurtain, Landen Mc-Curtain, Doug Taylor, Dylan Roady, Trae Roady and Nixon Roady. Honorary bearers will be both active and retired members of the Davis Fire Department.
